Photo Scrapbook
Assignment
Using Cutouts of Photographs from Magazines, compile a
Book of Photos (like a scrapbook)
that in
some way represent you. Use the following guidelines to help you complete this
project
(*Note: Some instructions include a hyperlink to additional
web pages to provide examples and clarification.)
Requirements
1.
The Book: 19 Photographs + One Cover Photo (2 of each category
in Round 1 and One of each in Round 2) from at least 3 different types of
magazines (you cannot get all your
shots from skate magazines for example).
*NOTE: Digitally altered montages/composites, drawings, paintings,
screenshots, still shots from movies, etc. are not photographs.
Each Photograph MUST include the
following information
A.
Type (1 of the 13 categories listed below)
B.
How the photograph represents you, or
how you relate to the subject of the shot (A complete sentence or two)
C.
Composition Analysis (at least two
sentences discussing the use of composition techniques in the photograph) Based on Composition Notes
1.
Aperture: Based on the depth of field
and lighting of the subject, identify the shot
as being closer to either:
· f1.7 (large aperture opening and shallow depth of field)
Or
· f22 (small aperture opening and deep depth of field)
2.
Shutter
Speed: Based on the motion of elements in the shot and lighting of the subject,
identify the shot as being closer to either:
· 1/1000 (fast shutter speed and frozen motion)
Or
· 1/60 (slow shutter speed and blurred motion).
3.
Lens Type:
Based on the angle of view and the amount and type of distortion in the shot, identify
which of the following lens types was used in the shot:
· Normal
· Telephoto
· Wide Angle
· Fish Eye
· Macro
