It creeps underneath the doors, crawls into your already frizzy hair, and makes sweat trickle down your back; summer is coming. Now, I’m not saying I don’t like summer because by all means, I do. Especially because this is my last one before I start college. However, I have an unhealthy hateful relationship with the heat it brings.

I am a creature of the cold, and always have been. I’m not sure if this is because I have naturally curly hair and the heat completely destroys any work I put into it, or because of the fact I’m basically allergic to my own sweat and break out into hives when I do so. Also, apparently running A/C during blistering weather is anything but cheap, so the house I live in constantly reflects the temperature outside. I cannot escape being hot ever.

With the cold, it’s possible to warm up and escape its grip. The heat, it’s unescapable. You can run and hide, but that’ll probably just increase your body temperature from all that running.
